Read this first
The rules track and the life-and-death track are proved — a solver recomputes every answer, so a mistake in them fails the build instead of reaching you. This track is not. Shape advice is a set of proverbs: true most of the time, with exceptions that matter, and no search settles them.
What is checked on each card is the arithmetic — the liberty counts, recomputed from the position. What is not checked is the advice underneath it, which was drafted by an AI from general Go material and reviewed by no Go player. Every card says which is which, and every card states when its own advice is wrong.
Treat these as things to look at, not rules to follow. When one of them contradicts something you worked out over a real board, the board is the better authority.
