Living and killing
A group with two separate eyes cannot be captured. These problems are about reaching that position, or preventing it. Each shape comes twice: kill it, then save it — the point that does one is the point that does the other, which is most of what there is to learn here. Every answer is settled by an exhaustive search, so the app is not offering an opinion; it is reporting what happens when both sides play their best. No model needed.
Why this track exists and the shape track is different
Whether a group lives is decidable — there is a right answer and a search finds it. That is why these can be published without a Go teacher checking them: each problem's answer is recomputed from the position every time the repository is checked, so a problem drawn wrong fails rather than teaches. Advice about good shape or the opening is not like this, and is kept separate and clearly marked.
